Here I am. Yours truly, Carly C Walling. I am Okie born and bred, and grown to appreciate the strong connections I have with my community. I am the mother of 2 young ones, and bonus momma to two amazing big kids, and spent my young life falling in love in the fields of every concert and music festival I could afford. My deep love for music is used in each one of my sessions, so bring those free hearts and epic dance moves. Since becoming a mother, I picked up my first “fancy” camera and never looked back. Photography is my drug of choice, and the older I get the more I appreciate how creativity enriches my life. I am learning to leave behind the fear of my own shortcomings and instead live unapologetically. I seek to collaborate with others to create art and beautiful images. I find a lot of passion for photography in documenting moments and memories. I was 34 weeks pregnant with my second child when I lost my best friend. My strong daddy lost a short battle with lung disease and it broke me. I am still learning to live without him while also grieving the relationship my dad had with my daughter. It’s like he was destined to be her grandfather. They had a very special bond. Any time he would walk in the door she would throw her hands in the air and RUN to him. They were always together and seeking out new adventures. I was a few steps behind with my camera in hand. All that said, through being a parent and losing a parent, I value documenting life and all the loving/real moments that come with it. They are fleeting. Take it from me, friends. Get those pictures taken, they are not just for you, but your children.
